We following the Early Years Foundation Stage.Ā We are open term-time only and offer both full and half day sessions from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Brand new pre-school in the heart of Takeley, Essex
Pixies Pre-School started out as a āwouldnāt it be greatā discussion between two sisters one Sunday afternoon.Ā Two years later and we are finally doing it!Ā Inspired by our own little pixies, who are now all at school.
We wanted to open a preschool that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a variety of both adult-led and child-initiated activities to further the childrenās knowledge of their surroundings and to fulfil their full potential.

At Pixies Pre-School donāt allow grapes or cherry tomatoes unless they are cut up due to the choking hazard they pose.
Above is an X-ray of a grape in a 5 year olds airway - it took surgery to remove it and because the airway was not completely blocked, the child lived. Grapes need to be cut in half for children til they are AT LEAST 5. This happened to a 5 year old. SLICE THE GRAPES, FOLKS
